News and Events
The coastline of Cornwall is made up of stunning cliffs, golden beaches, historic ports and harbours, plus some amazing wildlife.
A kayak offers a unique opportunity to explore all this in a safe way within the club environment. Various club trips are organized throughout the year which cater for all levels of experience. These are all led by our team of BC qualified club coaches.
Join in The Big Paddle Cleanup this June . . .
Help us to protect the places we love to paddle from plastic pollution by taking part in a paddle cleanup.
In 2022, an amazing 1,200 paddlers took part in a bid to clear their local waterways of junk and plastic pollution, while raising more public awareness of the issue.
The response was incredible. About 700 huge sacks were filled containing 2,123 single-use plastic bottles, 1,476 cans, 831 glass bottles and 3,296 food wrappers.
This phenomenal achievement did not go unnoticed. British Canoeing and its community of paddlers were recognised at the inaugural BBC Sport Green Awards for our efforts.
ISLES OF SCILLY TRIP 2023 Friday 11th-Friday 18th August. We need firm bookings for the campsite by 7th October 2022 for the campsite as a deposit will need to be paid. Cost for the campsite only is appro. £100per person ( actual price will depend on numbers). Additional costs are ferry crossing approx £155 per person return (flights are available and costs can be found on the Isles of Scilly travel site), transportation of kayaks and luggage, cost unknown at this moment. Tents are on site and no personal tents are permitted.
Although this is organized by the club and coaches will be probably going, they are also on holiday and are not resposible for ensuring trips are always available.
The club has been to the Isles of Scilly many times in the past and it is a fantastic area to paddle and visit.
